NeWGS Library Collection
NeWGS has a large amount of genealogical resources available with a collection of over 600 books and microfilm. Most items are housed at the Colville Public Library and are available to all library patrons. If you have a Stevens County library card, some of our collection may be checked out and taken home to study. Our periodical collection and some of our CDs are available at the Colville Family History Center located in the lower level of the LDS Church on Juniper Street. Our collection is also included in the online catalog for the Stevens County Rural Library District.

Currently many of our books are located downsairs in the storage area and must be requested by patrons in order to view them. We are now in the process of reviewing our collection and have found many of these books available for free online which makes them easier to search and can be downloaded for future reference. You will see a new category added to the "Phys.Location" category in our catalog to indicate this. The actual book has been removed but still remains on our list with information on how to access it online. This revamping of our collection will hopefully allow us to have all of our remaining books returned to the upstairs shelves. We will keep you posted on our progress.
